SATURDAY SCHOOL
On Saturdays, Marc Morawek is teaching in the French school for bilingual children in Southampton.
‘La Récré’ is the first French ‘petite école’ for bilingual children in Southampton. Lessons started in June 2015 and take place on Saturday mornings in the Bitterne Park area.
La Récré’s aim is to allow French speaking bilingual children to develop their knowledge of French language and culture as well as improve their ability to speak, read and write in French.
Through educational and playful activities, we hope to enable children
• To extend their linguistic skills (both written and spoken)
• To develop a sense of belonging to a French bilingual children community and enhance their francophone culture.
We also hope that La Récré will become a meeting point for French speaking families in the area.
